The Cell Broadband Engine is a CPU from Sony, Toshiba and IBM. It’s commonly found in the PlayStation3, but I just happen to have a BladeCenter with Cell blades.

I have eight QS20 blades, though currently only one of them boots Yellow Dog Linux

Future project ideas for the BladeCenter (named Albatross.ScannedInAvian.net, even) include a clone of WPACracker.com, brute force decryption for any sniffed 802.15.4 traffic, and other fun projects that need lots of CPU power.
